Harvest Festival

Thank you to all of our wonderful families for the generous donation for Harvest Festival. The Hope Foodbank in Nottingham have collected the food and were extremely grateful as this will help a large number of local families.

Well done Leelan and Ramiro!!

Well done to Leelan (pictured with mum Emma) and Ramiro who have been invited to the Lord Mayor’s Attendance Awards on 13th July.  This is due to them both achieving 100% attendance for this school year!!  School are very proud of this achievement and we look forward to giving out more golden tickets next year.

Nottingham Blanket Drive

Nursery is supporting the Nottingham Blanket Drive. We are kindly asking if any families have thick warm blankets, to donate to refugees in Paris during the cold winter months. If you have anything you would like to donate, please can you bring them into Reception by Friday 3rd March at the latest.

For further information please speak to Mrs Johnson or visit

Thank you for your help.

Mrs Tracey and Miss Davis went to Birmingham yesterday to collect the Learning outside the Classroom Gold Award.  It was to celebrate their hard work in gaining this award for school – and it was very exciting waiting to collect the award in person!  Well done to both of them!

School’s lovely Office Manager, Mrs Wendy Barron, has been presented with a Long Service Award, as she has worked for the Local Authority for 25 years!  Wendy has been the Office Manager at Nottingham Nursery School since we opened in September 2008.  We wish her many more years of service!

A very big Thank You!

School would like to say a very big “Thank You” to all of our parents who contributed to our recent Harvest Festival donation.  As promised, all the food we collected in School was donated to a local foodbank and they have sent us this certificate!  This will go such a long way to help local families in need of support.  Many thanks for your generosity.

Diwali celebration day

On Friday 4th November, the children celebrated the Hindu festival Diwali in School.  We learned that this is known as the Festival of Light, we found out about the customs and cultures of this festival, shared photos of how people celebrate and tried some delicious food and drink!  The children were able to dress-up and dance – we had a wonderful time!

Harvest Festival

Thank you to all our wonderful parents for the generous donations for Harvest Festival! All of the food items that were donated today will be taken to a local food bank to help families in need.

Gold award winners!

School has just been awarded the prestigious ‘Learning Outside the Classroom’ Mark – Gold Award, in recognition of the outdoor and off-site opportunities which we offer our children (aged 2-4) and the work we do in terms of promoting learning outside of the classroom with other professionals.  We are very pleased about this as it offers us recognition of something which is an absolutely integral part of our provision and which research shows is vital to children’s development, well-being and learning.

We are now one of only 20 schools in the UK to have this award and 1 of only 2 nursery schools

LOtC Mark is intended to recognise existing exemplary provision, and to support schools in enabling all children to have access to meaningful LOtC experiences. Full details can be found here

Barnado’s Big Toddle

21st September

The Big Toddle

We have been very busy in school today, raising money to support Barnardo’s.  There has been a tasty cake stall running all day and the children have made masks, flags and ribbon rings to accompany them whilst they toddled their way around the field!  Altogether, we raised £75.00 to support this very worthwhile charity.
