We are committed to becoming an Eco-school and developing children’s awareness of their environment.  We recycle paper and card, make compost on our allotment and recycle rainwater to flush the toilets.  Children have made a “bug hotel” to encourage mini-beasts. We are working towards the Eco-school Green Flag award.

Global and international education

The Nursery community is a wealth of multi cultural diversity and we learn with our different cultures about beliefs, customs, food, dress and artefacts.  We have a link with a Nursery School in Norwich and a link with a Nursery School (Ecole maternelle) in Nantes in France.  Initially it will be staff contact to share expertise and good practice but children will be able to send drawings and eventually we hope will be able to skype or something similar.  We were awarded the Internation School Award in September 2012.
