Nursery meals

All food is freshly prepared in our kitchen on site.  The meals are served in the school hall in a family style with familiar Nursery staff sitting, serving and eating with the children.  The menus are planned by the City Council Catering services in conjunction with the Nursery and do not include meat.  Snacks and afternoon tea are prepared by the kitchen.  Breakfast is provided by staff in room 1 and is currently generously paid for by Business in the Community.

Orange tart and milk

Tuesday

Vegetarian mince spaghetti bolognese, wholemeal baguette slice, sweetcorn, green beans

Pineapple shortcake, milk

Wednesday

Quorn sausage and onion gravy, roast potatoes, vegetable medley

Butterscotch tart, fruit segments

Thursday

Cheese and tomato quiche, creamed potatoes, cauliflower, carrot and swede batons

Delight whirl and mandarins

Friday

Pizza, light fries, peas, coleslaw

Rice Pudding, fruit wedges

Week 2

Monday                                                   

Pasta with cheese and tomato, mascarpone sauce, baguette, green beans, carrots

Rhubarb streusel with custard

Tuesday

Savoury vegetarian mince, Yorkshire pudding,  boiled potatoes, green cabbage, carrot and swede batons

Apple crumble and ice cream

Wednesday

Vegetarian sausage, gravy, stuffing,  roast potatoes, vegetable medley

Cornflake tart and fruit segments with custard

Thursday

Quorn curry, creamed potatoes, mixed vegetables and broccoli

Fruit iced bun, milk

Friday

Wholemeal breaded fish portion, light fries, mushy peas

Oatmeal cookie and fruit segments
